Description	:	MRS. ANNA E. MANLEY: Anna Elizabeth, the eldest daughter of John and Isabella Eastwood, was born in New Diggings, Wisc., March 15, 1867, and departed this life March 30, 1929. When a girl of 11 years she came with her parents to Nebraska in 1878, where she has resided since. On September 13, 1887, she was united in marriage to Elmer E. Manley. To this union 14 children were born. One son and one daughter died in infancy. MANLEY: Anna Elizabeth, the eldest daughter of John and Isabella Eastwood, was born in New Diggings, Wisc., March 15, 1867, and departed this life March 30, 1929. When a girl of 11 years she came with her parents to Nebraska in 1878, where she has resided since. On September 13, 1887, she was united in marriage to Elmer E. Manley. To this union 14 children were born. One son and one daughter died in infancy. The surviving children are Mrs. Nellie Blume of Summerfield, Guy Melvin at home, Cecil and Verna of Lincoln, Mrs Isabel Markula of Kansas City, J. Leslie, Archie, Mrs. Mildred Schram of Lakeside, Nebraska, Mrs. Marjorie Black of Los Angeles, Warren M. Francis and Irma. Her husband preceded her in death, having answered the summons on April 1 just ten years ago. Besides the children and 23 grandchildren, there remains to mourn her departure, four brothers and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Euhus, Mrs. Margaret Pease of Fort Morgan, Colo., Alfred, Frank, Elmer and Howard Eastwood. Mrs. Manley heard the voice of the Son of God saying, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any man open unto Me, I will come in and will sup with him and he with Me". She opened her heart and life to God and yielded her will to Him. The most important step she took or could take was this Feilding back to God the life He had given her. This is what gives us occasion for rejoicing today. We know that all is well with her because her life is in the care and keeping of Almighty God, in the care and keeping of the Faithful One who has said, "I will never leave Thee nor forsake Thee." In life or in what we call death, the everlasting arms of Omnipotence were underneath and around her. On March 21, 1914, she confessed her faith before the world and became a member of the Mission Creek United Presbyterian church. In the years that have followed she lived a consistent and faithful Christian life. It would seem that whenever circumstances would permit she was found in the place of worship, for she loved the place where His Honor dwelt." And she was faithful in the home, giving her time and strength in the service of those she loved. In the community, as far as she was able, she did her part. Her friends have been many. To know her was to love her. And now she will be greatly missed from the home, the church, and the community, but she leaves behind her the fragrance of a beautiful Christian life.
