He was united in marriage with Edna Trimble of Bedford May 11, 1930. They resided in Bedford until about eight years ago, the last six years being spent in Ogden, Ia. He leaves to mourn his passing three sisters, Ethel Adams, and Mrs Joe (Grace) Hipsley of New Market, Ia, and Mrs Emma Middleton of San Antonio, Texas, two brothers, Lester of Gravity and Loyd of New Market, a brother-in-law, Lee Trimble of Forest City, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Mrs Ira (Bertha) Thompson, a brother John Adams, and also an infant brother. He was a devoted member of the Methodist Church and also a member of the Sunlight Lodge No 459 AF &AM at Gravity, Ia. Funeral services were held at the Walker Funeral Home in Clarinda, Ia at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, April 10. Clarence Potter Gospel preacher for the Church of Christ was in charge assisted by Rev Lacy Thompson of the Methodist Church. Both are ministers at New Market. Those who served as pallbearers were Roy Pratt, Claude Drennen, Carl Cade, Dwight Pratt, Ernie Thompson and Elsey Guilliatt, Merrill R. Miller sang.
