His mother preceded him in death May 7, 1925. He lived with his grandparents for years at Cody, Nebraska and came to live with his father at Deweese, when he was ten years of age. Read More	Elmer George Jackson was born September 2, 1922 at Orchard, Nebraska and passed away at Memorial Hospital, Superior, Nebraska June 12, 1941 at the age of 18 years, 9 months and 8 days. His mother preceded him in death May 7, 1925. He lived with his grandparents for years at Cody, Nebraska and came to live with his father at Deweese, when he was ten years of age. He has made his home near Deweese since his coming. Elmer attended the Deweese high school until his break in health about two years ago when he was compelled to quit in order to guard his health. He attended church services at the Christian church, was an industrious lad, always willing to do his share, and was loved by all the young people who knew him. He leaves to mourn his death his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. George E. Jackson; three brothers, Everett, Ervin, Dean, and Richard; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Bradley, Emily and Gaylene Kay; two grandmothers, a large number of other relatives, and a host of friends. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. C.M. Foust of the Nelson Christian church,, (sic) Sunday, June 15, at Deweese. The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, July 3, 1941
