Description	:	Elmer G. Nelson, 88, of Genoa passed away on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at the Genoa Long Term Care. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at Augustana Lutheran Church with burial in Valley View Cemetery. Elmer Gustav Nelson was born March 13, 1922, in Nance County, to Enfrid and Elsie (Nilsson) Nelson. He attended school at several locations near Fullerton and St. Edward. Elmer Gustav Nelson was born March 13, 1922, in Nance County, to Enfrid and Elsie (Nilsson) Nelson. He attended school at several locations near Fullerton and St. Edward. Survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife, Bonnie, of Genoa; daughters, Judy Nelson, of Lakewood, Colo., and Barbara (Carl) Ambrose, of Buckeye, Ariz.; grandsons, Phillip (Marina) Ambrose and David Ambrose, both of Arizona; sister, Jean Schmitt, of Columbus; brother, Homer (Pat) Nelson, of Genoa; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Nelson; his parents; and brothers, Eldon, Edmund and infant Emery Nelson.
