EDWARD Elmer Condreay Dies Elmer Hersie Condreay. was born in Henry county. 111., Jan. 8, 1853 and passed away at his home in St. Edward. March 20. 1933. having reached the age of 80 years. While he was still quite young his father died and the mother with the children, moved to Clark county, la., where he grew to manhood, and on Jan. 27, 1881 was united in marriage to Docia Carder. Mr. and Mrs. Condreay resided in Iowa until 1904, when they and their family came to Boone county, Nebraska and made their home on a farm near St. Edward. With the exception of a few years spent in Missouri and Arkansas-' this locality has been their home for the past 29 years. Seven years ago, Mr. Condreay retired from the farm and moved into St. Edward, which was still their home. All of the active years of his life. Mr. Condreay followed his occupation of farming and he loved the out of doors. He had a firm good old fashioned religion and an unwavering faith in God. Until failing health prevented. he was a faithful attendant at the services of the Methodist church of which he was a member. His death resulted from asthma and heart complications and followed a several months illness. Two daughters. Cora, as Mrs. Charles Rosencrantz and Pearl as Mrs. John Foye as well as one son. Guy and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Clair Condreay had all preceded him in death several years. Left with the mother to mourn his passing are the following, Wesley A.; Clair. Mrs. Frank McComb, Hazel and Hersie all of this community. Mrs. Hurl Davis, of St. Louis, and Mrs. A. I. McMullen of Fullerton. There are 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild, also one sister, Mrs. Sarah Raney of Corvalis, Oregon and one brother Felix Condreay of York be sides a large number of niece's and nephews and other more distant relatives. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Methodist church at 2 o'clock conducted by the pastor Rev. W. W. Hull. Mrs. Jack Weidner who was very much worried last week because she did not hear from her son. Arthur, at Huntington Park, Calif., finally received an airmail letter from him on Friday.
