Read More	Elmer Bucher In Fatal Mishap With Tractor Crushed when the tractor which he was driving tipped, pinning him underneath, Elmer Bucher, prominent farmer of Fairview township, died early Wednesday morning in Memorial Hospital, from injuries received in the accident. The fatal mishap occurred about one o'clock Tuesday afternoon, about a mile south of the Polo Store. Bucher had driven his tractor home at noon and was on his way back to his plowing operations at the time. There were no witnesses, but it is believed that he lost control of the vehicle, which started for the ditch, and tipped when he attempted to bring it back into the road. Lloyd Kolda, Miller, and his son Verlyn reached the scene shortly afterward, attracted by what appeared to be an unusually heavy cloud of dust. They attempted to raise the tractor, but were unable to do so, and had to go for a stacker before they could release Bucher, who by that time was unconscious. He was brought to Memorial Hospital at once, but never regained consciousness. His death occurred about 2 o'clock Wednesday morning. Mr. Bucher was about 40 years old, and had farmed in the Polo area for a number of years. Surviving are his wife, and five children, the oldest of which is 15, and one sister, Mrs. James Curan of Pierre.
