Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church building fund. Elmer R. Larson, 97, was born Dec. 19, 1887, in Lockridge Township. He was the son of Charles Victor and Emma Christine Johnson Larson. He was reared and educated in Lockridge and Buchanan Townships and farmed most of his life. He moved to Fairfield in 1948 and served two terms on the Jefferson County Board of Supervisors. ELmer Larson was married to Edith J. Flinspach Oct. 8, 1919, at the home of the bride in Buchanan Township. In addition to his widow he is survived by two sons, Roy and Kenneth, both of Fairfield; a daughter, Ruth Koontz, Fairfield; eight grandchildren; a brother, Clifford, Winter Haven, Fla., and a sister, Pearl Gardner, Fairfield. Larson was confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran New Sweden Church May 22, 1904 and later became a member of the United Methodist Church. He was a member of Clinton Lodge AF&AM No. 15, Eastern Star, and a former member of the Rotary Club.
