He was born at Valley, Nebraska, July 14, 1914, and was 21 years, 7 months and 28 days of age. The body was sent to Omaha today where funeral services will be read. Elmer was the son of Mrs. Lyda Schneider of Omaha. He has been stationed at the Mitchell CCC camp since its establishment here July 27, 1935. He had been stationed at the CCC camp there. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schneider survive. The body will lie in state at the Heafey & Heafey mortuary until 12:30 Saturday when it will be taken to Valley for services at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian church. The young man died Tuesday, March 10th, at the Civilian Conservation Camp at Mitchell, Nebraska. He was 22 years old and was reared in Douglas County. The services were in charge of the Rev. M. Dametz of Valley. During the service Mrs. John Foster sang a solo. Pall-bearers were Sterling and Frank Hickson Jr., Quentin Coyle, Lloyd Pflug, Gordon and Milford Thackery.
