Description	:	ACCIDENT NEAR SPIRIT LAKE RESULTED IN GIRLS DEATH Elnora Benson, 7 years old daughter of Edwin Benson of Jackson, Minn., passed away at the Coleman hospital at Estherville early Sunday morning as the result of an accident near the Grant Ash farm Friday evening about 6:30 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. Benson were moving Mrs. Benson's household good to Mr. Benson's farm home near Petersburg and Elnora was riding on the furniture on one of the trucks. Read More	ACCIDENT NEAR SPIRIT LAKE RESULTED IN GIRLS DEATH Elnora Benson, 7 years old daughter of Edwin Benson of Jackson, Minn., passed away at the Coleman hospital at Estherville early Sunday morning as the result of an accident near the Grant Ash farm Friday evening about 6:30 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. Benson were moving Mrs. Benson's household good to Mr. Benson's farm home near Petersburg and Elnora was riding on the furniture on one of the trucks. The furniture on which she was riding moved slightly and she, thinking it was falling, stepped down, but slipped and fell to the road. The truck drived by her father, following directly behind the one she was riding struck her and the wheels passewd over her, crushing her abdomen, and breaking several bones in her leg. She was brought to Spirit Lake for medical care and taken to the Estherville hospital, where she passed away early Saturday morning. Funeral services were held at the Petersburg Lutheran church Monday and Interment made in the Lutheran cemetery there. Elnora is a step-daughter of Mrs. Mable Schunemann, who recently was married to Mr. Benson The Loss is felt keenly by the Petersburg people and by the school, where the child was a student. *The Spirit Lake Beacon 5-31-1928 -------------
