HARRY HESTON Elsie Ann Heston, daughter of D. N. and Susan Danner, was born in Lucas county, Iowa, June 25, 1893, and passed from this life at her home north of Lucas at 1:30 p.m., Dec. 3, 1953, at the age of 60 years, six months and 10 days. She grew to womanhood in Lucas county and her entire life was spent here except nine years immediately following her marriage, when the home was located in Clarke county. On Oct. 20, 1917, she was united in marriage to Harry R. Heston. To this union seven children were born, four daughters and three sons. One son, Ross Edward, died in 1925. She was also preceded in death by her father and one brother. When a young woman, she accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized at the May church, where she placed her membership. Besides the bereaved husband, she leaves to mourn their loss the daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Sylvara of Lucas; Mrs. Lois Miller of Osceola; Mrs. Norma Lancaster of Lacona; Mrs. Minnie Wilson of Des Moines; the sons, George of Galesburg, N. Dak.; John of Derby; and eight grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Susan Danner of Osceola; two brothers, James Danner of Woodburn; Newton Danner of Russell; three sisters, Mrs. Lois Loney of Humeston; Mrs. Maude Myers of Lucas; Mrs. Jessie James of Osceola; many other relatives and friends. Mrs. Heston had been in failing health for many months but recently grew steadily weaker until death claimed her. She was a splendid wife and mother with constant loving interest in the welfare of her home and loved ones. She was patient and courageous during her long period of frailty. She will be greatly missed in the home circle and by her many friends. Funeral services were held at the Lucas Presbyterian church Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. A. E. Beals.
