Description	:	Elsie Frederica Myers was born March 17, 1867 near Toledo, Tama Co., Iowa, the daughter of Samuel Washington and Marana Azuba (Donaldson) Myers. In 1871 her family migrated to Smith Co., Kansas where they secured a homestead upon which they lived until 1889, then moved to Dundy Co., Nebraska. She married John Hallauer on December 15, 1888. They lived in Dundy Co. until 1892. They fled this area at that time because of a raging prairie fire and settled in Brown Co., Kansas where they farmed the remainder of their lives. Elsie died at her home in Brown County, about three miles north of Netawaka, Kansas. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Netawaka. Their children were: Arlie Hallauer Stone Ammon, Bert W. Hallauer, Hazel Hallauer Davis and Roy Virgil Hallauer.
