Description	:	Elsie Krecek, after a lengthy illness, passed away February 28, 2013 at the age of 92, at home with her husband James, daughter Katherine, and son Alan at her side. She was the daughter of the late George and Anna Mach from Omaha, Nebraska. Elsie was born in Omaha, February 15, 1921, attended the Omaha Public School primary and secondary school system and worked for Union Pacific Railroad system through World War II years and married James in 1945 following World War II hostilities. She was a consummate housewife, a self taught seamstress making most of her clothing through teenage... Read More	Elsie Krecek, after a lengthy illness, passed away February 28, 2013 at the age of 92, at home with her husband James, daughter Katherine, and son Alan at her side. She was the daughter of the late George and Anna Mach from Omaha, Nebraska. Elsie was born in Omaha, February 15, 1921, attended the Omaha Public School primary and secondary school system and worked for Union Pacific Railroad system through World War II years and married James in 1945 following World War II hostilities. She was a consummate housewife, a self taught seamstress making most of her clothing through teenage years and beyond. She had many hobbies learned through extension service training that included ceramics, rug-hooking, needlepoint, upholstering, birding etc. As a birder, Elsie monitored for many years a bluebird trail that she and her husband established and became known as the "Bluebird Lady" of Bayberry Hills Golf Course. She is survived by husband James Krecek of 68 years, her daughter Katherine Kelley, husband Francis and son Alan Krecek, wife Patricia. She leaves four grand children; Christopher Durkee, wife Donna, Kenneth Durkee, wife Christine, Jason Krecek, wife Sarah, and Kim Mantey, husband Benjamin; Five Great-grandchildren Andrew Durkee, Cole Durkee, Madison Durkee, Ryan Durkee, and Maureen Mantey. Elsie will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Alzheimer Foundation for Research at www.alzfdn.org, American Heart Association at www.heart.org American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org , Hope Hospice 765 Attucks Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601 or a charity of one's choosing. A memorial service will be held at Morris, O'Connor, Blute at Long Pond funeral home at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2013; followed by internment at Chandler Gray Cemetery, West Yarmouth, MA.
