Findlay, 84, died Monday at Briggs-Eskew Nursing Home at Fairfield, where she had been since last December. The daughter of Mr. and Mr. Robert N. Kerr, she was born in Missouri. He early life was spent in Missouri and Nebraska. The family moved to Van Buren County and she made her home in the Douds community until about 25 years ago, when she moved to Keosauqua. Fifteen years ago she moved to Fairfield. She was a Methodist. Her husband, George Findlay, died in 1940. A brother and a sister also preceded her. Surviving are a son, Kermit J. Plowman of Douds, and a daughter, Mrs. Sherman Unkrich of near Fairfield; two grandsons, two great-grandsons, and a stepdaughter, Miss Verna Findlay of Eau Claire, Wis. The service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. (standard time) at the Pedrick Funeral Home. Rev. Lowell Hoyle will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Source: Van Buren Co.
