Description	:	Elsie Abbott Dies at Vinton Hospital Mrs. Elsie Abbott, 63, Vinton, died at 3:00 a.m., today at the Vinton Hospital. She had been in failing health for six months and seriously ill for a week. Mrs. Abbott was employed for several years as a practical nurse at the Lutheran Home for the aged. Mrs. Abbott, a lifetime resident of Benton County, was born at Urbana, May 16, 1894. She was married to Arnie Abbott at Urbana, January 19, 1912. He died in 1943 in Vinton. Earl of Vinton, Arnie Jr. of Waterloo, Mrs. Matt Gille of Urbana, Mrs. Ray DeerfieldofWaterloo, Mrs. James Phelps of Vinton, Mrs. Robert Waters of Waterloo, and Ivalee Abbott and Nancy at home, 19 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one sister, Mrs. Dave Hiler of Waterloo, a half brother, Leslie Long go Traer and a half sister, Mrs. Eva Hess of Vinton. She was preceded in death by three sons in infancy. Funeral services will be held at the Miller Taylor funeral home, Friday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. Von Elbert will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday evening.
