Description	:	Elva Roth, of Milford, died suddenly Monday, March 21, 2005 at her home in Milford at the age of 90 years 6 months and 23 days. She was born, August 26, 1914, at Milford to Elmer Earl and Ida Marie (Burkey) Stutzman the 2nd of four children. In her youth she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, was baptized and became a member of the East Fairview Mennonite Church. Read More	Elva Roth, of Milford, died suddenly Monday, March 21, 2005 at her home in Milford at the age of 90 years 6 months and 23 days. She was born, August 26, 1914, at Milford to Elmer Earl and Ida Marie (Burkey) Stutzman the 2nd of four children. In her youth she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, was baptized and became a member of the East Fairview Mennonite Church. As a young girl she attended Stauffer Country School District #73 and later she attended Hesston College. On December 7, 1933 she was united in marriage to John Roth, Jr. and this union was blessed with two daughters, Bonnie Jean and Delores Faye and one son, Donald Duane. As a young girl she worked as a mother's helper in many homes, and later worked at the North Side Cafe. Elva was an excellent cook and for many years she worked at Roth's Restaurant north of Milford. Recently, she continued to provide cinnamon rolls for the restaurant and also for her family which have been enjoyed by everyone for many years. She loved to read Christian fiction books. She also spent many hours in her garden raising roses and vegetables, the bounty of which she shared with her family. Elva enjoyed spending time at the Senior Center quilting and visiting with friends. She was independent and mowed her own lawn and took care of her home until very recently. Elva had a very caring personality, often putting others in front of her own needs. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Delores and Wilton Detweiler, Shickley, son-in-law, Harold Roth, Milford, daughter-in-law, Marge Kremer, Omaha, 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren, sisters Verda Busboom and Vietta Stauffer, sister-in-law, Beulah Roth, all of Milford, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Elva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John in 1988, her son, Donald in 1964, daughter, Bonnie Jean Roth in 2000, sister, Edith Stutzman, granddaughter, Sheryl Ann Roth, grandson, Delson Detweiler, two great-grandchildren, Paige and Eliot Roth. A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at East Fairview Mennonite Church, rural Milford with Rev. Bill Saltzman, and Rev. Anthony Troyer officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Memorials have been established to East Fairview Mennonite Church. Pallbearers were Kent, James, Clark, Sheldon and Vincent Roth and Dennis Detweiler. The Mixed Quartet of Kyle and Gloria Roth, Jay and Sonya Saltzman, Lary and Vickie Schweitzer, Mark Saltzman and Melissa Saltzman sang "What A Day That Will Be", "In The Rifted Rock" and "One Day At A Time" during the service and "Sweet Bye and Bye" at the graveside.
