Services are scheduled Thursday, May 17 at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Gary Rahe officiating. Interment will follow in the Holyoke Cemetery. Elva was born on March 22, 1918 in Wellfleet, Nebraska to Fred and Anna (Nutzmann) Folker. Elva went to school in Holyoke graduating in 1937. Elva married Paul Wiggins in Amherst on September 6, 1938. To this union three children were born, Paula, Gene and Helen. Helen died in 1950. Elva worked at what was then J.C. Penney's in Holyoke, starting in 1954 as a sales clerk. The store then sold and she worked for Smythe's Department Store until 1977. She enjoyed people and work and also enjoyed teaching Sunday school. Elva was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Elva Wiggins was preceded in death by her husband Paul; daughter Helen; grandson Sean Linn; and her parents, Fred and Anna Folker. Elva is survived by her son Gene and his wife Karen Wiggins of Waukesha, Wisconsin; daughter Paula and her husband Mike Gracey of Holyoke; grandchildren Paul and Patti Wiggins of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Lisa and Brian Wiggins of Bellingham, Washington, Jason Wiggins of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Jen and Keith Heinzelman of Briarcliff Manor, New York, Michael Linn of Boardman, Oregon and Michele Leechman of Sterling; great-grandchildren Preston and Makaya; sister Merna Weyerts of Denver; and brother Rex Folker of Sunland, California.
