HART Elvera Marie Hart, daughter of George and Lillie (Linquist) Lindburg, was born on a farm near Essex, Page County, Iowa, on June 8, 1899, and passed away Monday, August 28, 1995, at Elm Heights Care Center. She was 96 years of age. She was one of seven children, including four sisters and two brothers. Her sisters were Antonia Wallin, Mae Falk, Frances Lindburg, Lillian Falk, and her brothers are Reuben and Roy Lindburg. She was 96 years of age. She was one of seven children, including four sisters and two brothers. Her sisters were Antonia Wallin, Mae Falk, Frances Lindburg, Lillian Falk, and her brothers are Reuben and Roy Lindburg. Elvera was baptized on July 2, 1899, and confirmed at the Bethesda Lutheran Church on May 17, 19143. She attended country school in Douglas Township where she was an avid student. In fact she received a certificate from Page County Schools for eight years of perfect attendance and was never tardy during those years. On October 10, 1918, Elvera married Arvid Hart at the Lutheran parsonage in Bethesda, Page County, Iowa. The Harts have one daughter, Mrs. Dean (Natalie) Ray, who resides in Shenandoah, Page County, Iowa. Elvera spent most of her life on the farm, living at rural Essex and Shenandoah and finally at Norwich, Iowa, where she resided from 1927 to 1968. After the death of her husband she moved to Shenandoah, Iowa. Since April of 1982, she was a resident of Elm Heights Care Center in Shenandoah, Iowa. Mrs. Hart was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lillie (Linquist) Lindburg, two brothers, Reuben and Roy Lindburg, three sisters, Frances Lindburg in infancy, Antonia Wallin, Lillian Falk, and her husband, Arvid Hart in February 1960. Mrs. Hart is survived by her daughter, Natalie and husband, Dr. Dean Ray of Shenandoah, three grandchildren, David Ray and wife Karen of Brush, Colorado, Cynthia Odom and husband John of Phoenix, Arizona, Michelle Ray of Mission, Kansas, three great-grandchildren, Brock, Amanda, and Natausha Ray of Brush, Colorado, one sister, Mrs. H. E. (Mae) Falk of Red Oak, Iowa, one sister-in-law, Mrs. Joe (Vilma) Nadgwick of Shenandoah, Iowa and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Services were held from the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Shenandoah, Iowa, Wednesday, August 30, 1995, at 2 PM. The Rev. Ronald Nelson gave the words of comfort. Organist was Sherrill Lisle. Family visitation was held from 7-8 PM Tuesday evening at Hackett Funeral Home. Memorial to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church and the Shenandoah Public Library. Casket bearers were Wayne Falk, Charles Lang, Charles Larson, Glendon Lindburg, Marlyn Lindburg, and Dale Wallin. Interment was in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Page County, Iowa, Third Addition, First Row, Lot 13. Information found in The Valley News, Tuesday, August 29, 1995, and Friday, September 1, 1995.
