He was born March 18, 1937, in Richmond County, a son of the late Harvey Troxler and Ada Lillian Mabe Voorhies. He was a charter member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, a graduate of Ellerbe High School, class of 1955, and had retired from Burlington Industries as a supervisor. Surviving are his wife, Betty Jean Nelson Troxler of the home; two sons, Gary Troxler and Greg Troxler, both of Ellerbe; and six grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the home on Pleasant Hill Church Road. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
