Description	:	Mr. & Mrs. D(eAlton) Wheeler were called upon Monday to mourn the death of their son, Elwin D. from tuberculosis of the spine. The affliction which finally carried this young life away began nearly five years ago and for the past four years he has been a suffering invalid. He bore his affliction with great patience and was ever mindful of the wishes of the dear ones who cared for him. during his last few years he became a constant reader of the Bible and died in the full faith that he would be called home to the Savior. Funeral... Read More	Mr. & Mrs. D(eAlton) Wheeler were called upon Monday to mourn the death of their son, Elwin D. from tuberculosis of the spine. The affliction which finally carried this young life away began nearly five years ago and for the past four years he has been a suffering invalid. He bore his affliction with great patience and was ever mindful of the wishes of the dear ones who cared for him. during his last few years he became a constant reader of the Bible and died in the full faith that he would be called home to the Savior. Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday afternoon and Rev. T. A. Ambler preached a very touching sermon that gave great comfort to the bereaved ones. The body was then taken to Ireton for interment in the family burial ground, the funeral party being conveyed to the cemetery in automobiles. Elwin D. Wheeler was born in Eagle Township, July 29, 1890, and had he lived until the close of this month would have been 21 years of age. He leaves besides his parents, two brothers and one sister to mourn his death. Hawarden Independent, July 6, 1911
