Read More	WATERVILLE - Elwood Victor Folsom, 75, died unexpectedly Feb. 24, 2015. Born in Oakland on April 13, 1939 son of Elwood R and Evelyn Abbott Folsom. He went to the Oakland Schools. On Nov. 5, 1960 he married the love of his life, Rolande Bard, and they were married 52 years. They began their lives together in Oakland and lived there until they bought their home in Waterville in 1964, where they raised their six children. Elwood worked 30 years as a night watchman for Diamond Match in Oakland. He also worked as a security guard for Nason Security and Kennebec Water District and he drove truck for J. J. Pelotte. For the past 31 years until his passing he has worked at Marden's. Elwood loved his family and his cat Nelly. He liked camping, 4 wheeling, hunting, moose hunting trips with the family and he loved going to Hollywood slots. Dad enjoyed many things in life but most of all the time he spent with his family. Especially holidays where he and mom would make their rounds at each of their children's homes. He had a sweet tooth and loved all pastries, especially whoopie pies. Elwood also enjoyed Sunday morning breakfasts with the family at the Early Bird in Oakland where he liked to joke with the waitresses. He had a great sense of humor and would like to joke with everyone. A lot of people enjoy browsing at Marden's but the joke in our family is that Dad BOUGHT IT WHEN HE SAW IT AT MARDEN'S. Elwood was predeceased by his wife of 52 years Rolande Folsom, his brother Gene Folsom, sister Judy Folsom; and great-granddaughter Gabriella French. Elwood is survived by his sisters Dianne Mushero and Elizabeth Fisher, and a special sister-in-law Rena Lemieux and a special niece Hope Frost who dad and mom loved like a grandchild; his six children David Folsom and his wife Robin of Winslow, Sandra Harlow and her husband Dean of Jay, Elizabeth Adams and her husband Danny of Oakland, Michael Folsom and his wife Diane of Fairfield, Patricia Mushero and her husband Adam of Oakland, Robert Folsom and his girlfriend Lisa Reed of Winslow; Elwood 's eleven grandchildren, Derek Folsom, Venessa Folsom, Cindy French, Kristie Onkoba, Danny Adams Jr., Jillian Adams, Brittany Corey, Christopher Folsom, Katelynn Folsom, Tyler Folsom and Travis Reed; Elwood 's eight great-grandchildren, Joshua, Henry and Calvin Onkoba, Jedidiah and Elaina French, Chassidy Shorty, Jamisen Caret, Chloe and Rylee Adams. Special thanks to the State Police Troopers and Albion Fire and Rescue. Committal will be held in the spring at Lewis Cemetery in Oakland.
