Read More	Obituary: Emaline (Fries) Pigsley, Obituary Emaline Pigsley, 84, of Webster City, formerly of Atlantic, died Monday, Aug. 12 [1996] at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Thursday, Aug. 15 at the First Baptist Church in Webster City with John Berglund and Denis Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery in Webster City. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home in Webster City after 5 p.m. tonight until 9:30 a.m. Thursday. The daughter of Emil and Adele Dittmer Fries, she was born May 19, 1912 at Brayton. She was educated at the Gates rural school near Brayton. On Aug. 24, 1932 she married Vernon Pigsley at Maryville, MO. The couple resided in Atlantic, Wilcox, Mo., Grant, and Omaha. In 1944 they farmed near Atlantic and later farmed in Woodbine until moving to Webster City in 1957. She had provided child care services in the Webster City area for several years. She had been employed at Arrow-Acme Manufacturing for five years. For many years, she had been a sales representative for the Avon Company and several times been a member of the President's Club of Avon. She retired in 1990. She was a member of the Faith Community Church in Webster City, Christian Women's Club, R.S.V.P., and was a former Girl Scout leader. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Norma, Carol, and Carolee; her parents; brothers, Fred, Elmer, and Herman Fries; and a sister, Arlene Gregerson. Survivors include her husband, Vernon; sons and daughters-in-law Delburt and Shirley Pigsley of Kamrar; Eldon and Judy Pigsley, and Ivan and Carole Pigsley, all of Webster City; daughter and son-in-law Jeri and Ted Hayes of Webster City; 14 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother Harvey Fries of Trenton, Mo.; sisters, Leona Arn of Atlantic; Annie Nelson of Carroll; several nieces and nephews.
