James Kerr Wolfe 1847-1909 George Wiley Wolfe 1850-1921 It is believed Emanuel came to Missouri with the idea of homesteading and moving his wife, Sarah "Sallie" to the farm near Iuka Springs. It is unknown what he died from. Shortly after the Civil War, his daughter, my 2nd great grandmother, Margaret Jane Wolfe Sumpter, with her husband Alexander Sumpter 1838-1916, moved to what is believed to be Emanuel's homestead near Iuka Springs. The location of Emanuel Wolfe's burial is not known but the most likely location would be the Monegaw Springs Cemetery as it was already an established cemetery by the time of his death.
