Following her were the two little flower girls, Mildred Heitmann and Gertrude Fintel dressed in ruffled frocks of pastel shades. Following the flower girls came the first bridal pair, Adele Bohling and Fred Fintel who had as their attendants Louella Bohling dressed in blue as bridesmaid and Raymond Fintel as best man. The second bridal couple Matilda Meyer and Emil Bohling came next with Elsie Meyer dressed in orchid as bridesmaid and Walter Bohling as best man. The brides gowns were of white satin made on princess lines and both wore beautiful cap veils. Both carried shower bouquets of white roses and ferns. The wedding lines were read by Rev. Schardt and after the ceremony they proceeded to the Bohling home where a bounteous wedding dinner was served to about fifty guests. Mr. Bohling and Mrs. Fintel are the son and daughter of Herman Bohling of Byron, Nebr. Mr. Fintel is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Fintel of Byron and Mrs. Bohling is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Meyer of Stoddard. These highly esteemed young couples are all long time residents of their respective communities and after a short wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Fintel will make their home on a farm north of Byron and Mr. and Mrs. Bohling will make their home on a farm northwest of Chester. Their many friends join in wishing them much happiness and success in their married life. ============================================ Emil William August Bohling, son of Herman Bohling and Meta Marie Lunzman Bohling, one of 10 children born to this marriage, was born on a farm September 14, 1907 near Johnson, NE in rural Nemaha County. He passed away in Deshler, NE, at the Parkview Haven Nursing Home on March 15, 1993 at the age of 85 years, 6 months and one day. Emil was baptized at Johnson, NE, on Oct. 6, 1907 by Rev. Studier and confirmed on June 25, 1922 by the Rev. Robert Wagner at Byron, NE, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. As a boy Emil attended the Ash Grove School District #79 in Kansas and graduated from the 8th grade. On September 15, 1932 Emil was united in marriage to Mathilda Marie Meyer at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Byron and to this union three children were born. Throughout Emil's life he lived in Byron, rural Chester, Stoddard and Hebron. At the time of his death Emil was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hebron. Emil was a warm and loving husband and father and loved his family dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Walter Bohling and three sisters, Rose Bohling, Alma Bruns and Meta Heitmann. He is survived by his loving wife Mathilda of Hebron; two sons, Virgil H., Belvidere, NE, and Don E. and wife Janice, Omaha; one daughter, Bonnie Jean and husband Lyndall Bargen, Nora, NE; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Herman and wife Elta, Ruskin; four sisters, Helen Marquart and Adelia Fintel, Deshler; Lucile Oestman, Johnson, and Lily Kirchhoff, Byron, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services were held on March 20, 1993 at 2 p.m. from the Grace Lutheran Church in Hebron with Pastor Robert Stenson officiating. Music was "A Might (sic) Fortress is Our God", "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace" with David Cording as organist. Pall bearers were Lavon Bohling, Curtis Fintel, Rodney Kirchhoff, Willis Heitmann, Marlin Bohling and David Kirchhoff. Interment was in the Chester City Cemetery, Chester. Memorials may go to the church.
