Description	:	Emilie Y. Roth, 68, of Sterling, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, in Sterling. Visitation is Tuesday, Aug. 3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services are Wednesday, Aug. 4, at 1 p.m. at Thrinty Lutheran Church with Rev. James Nash officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Mrs. Roth was born Feb. 20,1936, in Stanberry, Mo., to William Wayne Pierce and Margaret (Hasting) Pierce. Mrs. Roth was born Feb. 20,1936, in Stanberry, Mo., to William Wayne Pierce and Margaret (Hasting) Pierce. She graduated from Snyder High School in 1954.On March 7,1954, she married Gerald Roth in Snyder. They then moved to Iliff, where they farmed until 1968,. when they moved to a farm in Sterling where she lived until her death. She loved being a wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.She enjoyed her grandchildren, family and friends, gardening, quilting and cooking. Mrs. Roth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She is survived by sons J,W. Roth and his children James and David Roth, Robert Roth, wife Sheila, and children Stephanie and Cody Roth; daughters Cheryl Schiel, husband Marc, and children Jeff, Bekkie and Kimberly Schiel, Lori Nolan, husband Jim, and children Greg, Ten and Traci Nolan, Suzan Schadegg, husband Dennis, and children Andrew and Jordan Schadegg, all of Sterling; sister Jean Thompson, of Billings, Mont.; brothers Vernon "Jack" Pierce and wife Cleo, of Snyder, and Franklin "Jay" Pierce and wife Audrey, of Fallon, Nev.; sis ters-in-law Eileen Hein, Marjorie Stone, Carol Gulliford, Louise Roth, Buelah Roth, Judy Schell and husband Richard; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, William Wayne and Margaret Pierce; husband Gerald Roth; and youngest son Thomas Roth. Memorials may be made to the Emilie Y. Roth memorial fund.
