Emily Jane Bell was born in Noble County, Ohio, Feb. 14, 1840 and departed this life at her home near Deep River, April 13, 1926, aged 86 years, one month, and 29 days. Jordan and children- Mrs. Clark Furney of Deep River, W.R. Jordan of Mason City, L.P Jordan of Grinnell, and Ida at home. She was a step mother to O W Jordan of Dayton twp, and Isaac Jordan of Hotchkiss, Colorado, whom she esteemed and loved as her own. She also leaves 25 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. She was converted and united with the Methodist Protestant church many years ago and as long as her health permitted she was active and good in caring for anyone sick. Besides her relatives she also leaves a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the Dayton Chapel Thursday, conducted by Rev S. E. Cole of Ladora.
