She leaves a husband, five boys and the daughters. From: Akron Register Tribune, June 22, 1911 Emma Ann Amos was born in London, England, August 5, 1854. At the age of eleven she came with her parents to Canada. Coming to the United States they located in Wisconsin, where, on April 25, 1872, she was united in marriage to Coleman Harrington. They spent several years on a homestead in Dakota and from there came to Iowa. To this union was born eleven children, five boys and six girls; of these, two girls and one boy preceded their mother to the other World. Besides the husband and remaining children, there is an aged father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. T. Amos, of Westfield, three brothers and three sisters, left to mourn the departure of a faithful and devoted loved one; also a wide circle of friends who admired and respected her for her true worth and splendid womanly qualities, and who extend their sympathy and mingle their sorrow with the bereaved family. Mrs. Harrington was converted at the age of fourteen and throughout her life remained true to her Savior. She was a member of the Methodist church until uniting with the Congregational church of Westfield. After long suffering, following operations for appendicitis and complications she fell asleep a few minutes after 11 p.m., Friday, June 16, 1911, at the family home south of Westfield Iowa, aged 56 years, 10 months and 11 days. The funeral, held Sunday in the Westfield Congregational church and conducted by Rev. Nickerson, was largely attended. Interment in the Westfield cemetery.
