O'BRIEN PASSED AWAY THIS MORNING Emma Bernadetta O'Brien, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. O'Brien, on West Hempstead street, passed away this morning at 3:30 o'clock after an illness extending over a period of several months. She was born in St. Joseph's county, Mint, Micigan (sic. Michigan), on December 2nd, 1895 (sic. 1894 on the headstone inscription, which may have been an inscription error), and in 1898 came with her parents to Iowa where she has since resided. She graduated from the Fairfield High School with the class of 1914. Besides the sorrowing parents she is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. J. W. Ausheran of Springer, New Mexico, Mrs. Newton Frieberg of Bredette, Mont., Sara A. O'Brien of Fairfield, Edward W. O'Brien of Wilcox, Sask., Canada, Raymond R. O'Brien, of Bredette, Mont., Victor J. O'Brien who is in the service and is stationed at Waco, Texas, and Leo A. O'Brien of the Great Lakes Naval Training School at Chicago, Ill. No funeral arrangements will be made until the arrival of the mother who has been visiting her daughter in Springer, New Mexico. -------------------- Fairfield Daily Journal Friday July 19, 1918 Pg. 3 Col. 5 EMMA BERNADETTA O'BRIEN FUNERAL SERVICES TOMORROW The funeral services for Emma Bernadetta O'Brien will be held tomorrow morning at nine o'clock from St. Mary's Catholic church in charge of Rev. E. F. Gaule and interment will take place in Evergreen cemetery.
