Description	:	Emma C. Boe, daughter of Claus J. and Anna Boe, was born near Columbus, Neb., January 9, 1877. She was baptized in Christ Lutheran Church northeast of Columbus and confirmed in the same church April 10, 1892. She lived near Columbus until about 1903 at which time, after the death of her mother, she moved to Shickley with her father. She made her home there continuously until about two years ago when she was taken to a nursing home at Hastings, and a short time later was transferred to the Moore Nursing Home at Fairmont. Here she was cared for until... Read More	Emma C. Boe, daughter of Claus J. and Anna Boe, was born near Columbus, Neb., January 9, 1877. She was baptized in Christ Lutheran Church northeast of Columbus and confirmed in the same church April 10, 1892. She lived near Columbus until about 1903 at which time, after the death of her mother, she moved to Shickley with her father. She made her home there continuously until about two years ago when she was taken to a nursing home at Hastings, and a short time later was transferred to the Moore Nursing Home at Fairmont. Here she was cared for until her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and three brothers. She is survived by one brother, Emil Boe of Bakersfield, Cal., several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, March 20, at 10 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Shickley, with Pastors E. Budde and L. Wachholz in charge, the latter basing his sermon on the 23rd Psalm, the text having been selected by the deceased. A woman's choir sang "Abide with Me" and "Heaven is My Home." Committal services were held the same afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Cemetery of Christ Lutheran Church near Columbus, with the pastor, Rev. Martin Bornemann, in charge.
