She was 89. She was born April 3, 1918, in Overbrook, the daughter of Alvin R and Ethel M English Miller. She was graduated from Overbrook Rural High School in 1935. She attended Washburn University. In 1958 she joined the Kansas State Bank in Overbrook. She retired in 1987 as head cashier after 29 years of service. She was one of the charter members of the Fidelis Club, and was a member of the Thimble Club, National Association of Bank Women and the Overbrook United Methodist Church. On Oct 19, 1946, she married Glen Norton in Overbrook. They resided in Overbrook for over 50 years. He survives, of the home. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Marilyn Miller Land. Other survivors include a niece, Denise Land Hunt, Overbrook; nephews, Richard land and Michael Land of Topeka; seven great-nieces and nephews, and one great-great-nephew. Cremation is planned. memorial services were to be held Oct 3 at the Overbrook United Methodist church. there will be a private burial at Overbrook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Overbrook Library or Overbrook United Methodist Church and sent in care of Greenwood Roberts Funeral Home, Overbrook, Ka 66524.
