Mrs Gaunt, who was 71 years of age, had with her husband, lived for many years in both Clemons and LeGrang, but a few years dago they entered the home. Mrs Gaunt, who was 71 years of age, had with her husband, lived for many years in both Clemons and LeGrang, but a few years dago they entered the home. Mrs Gaunt was born March 15, 1848 in Decatur, Indiana. her maiden name was Emma E Clemons. She was the fourth daughter of Mr and Mrs William M Clemons with whom she came to Iowa when a child. The family settled near Clemons where she was married to Mr Gaunt, August 20, 1868. In her early girlhood she united with the Christian Church of Clemons but later when she and her husband moved to LeGrand took membership in the church at the latter place. In addition to the husband, four sons, C R and L E Gaunt, of this city and I M and William M Gaunt of LeGrand survive her. There are living three sisters and two brothers, they being Mrs Sarah Mooney and Mrs A H Grewell of Clemons, Mrs Nancy Cox of Chico, California, William J Clemons of Clemons and A L Clemons of this city. The funeral procession will leave the L E Gaunt home, 10 East North Street at 9 Sunday forenoon and go to Clemons where the service will be held at the Christian Church at 10:30. Burial will be in the Clemons Cemetery. Evening Times Republican Friday, September 5, 1919
