Read More	IN A CORN FIELD. --- Mrs. Emma East Found Dead Wednesday Morning. --- Had Gone Thither to Procure Corn Beans for Dinner - Was Subject to Epileptic Seizures. --- While in a corn field near her home gathering corn beans, Wednesday morning, death came suddenly to Mrs. Emma East, wife of Alfred East, several miles south-east of Elida. The wife had gone thither after doing her morning duties, and was gathering beans for the noon meal. After an absence of about an hour and a half, the husband became alarmed, and went to the field in search for her. He found her cold in death, lying face downward, with her bonnet over her head. She had evidently been dead for an hour when discovered. Picking up the prostrate form, the grief stricken husband carried it to the house, and endeavored to restore life. The effort was useless. Corner Bice was called but learned no more than what is told in the above. The deceased on many occasions was a victim of epileptic seizures, and the demise was pronounced to be caused by such. The East family is one held in high esteem by their many friends in German township, and the death causes heartfelt sympathy for the bereaved husband. Deceased has been subject to epileptc seizures for many years, and about two years ago was discovered unconscious in the same corn field where she passed away Wednesday.
