Burial was in the David City Cemetery. Emma J. Vanek, daugther of Frank J. and Mary (Brabec) Vanek, was born at David City on March 19, 1903. A former resident of David City, she, in recent years, and made her home at the LIncol Street Manor, Grand Island. She was a graduate of David City High School and a member of the First Congregational Church, David City, the Rebekah Lodge, the Z.C.B.J. Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary. Preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Stanley (Mary) Ondracek of Schuyler, one brother, Emil, of David City, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
