Description	:	Emma Jane Jenkinson, daughter of John and Sophia (Sharman) Jenkinson was born in Halifax, Yorkshire, England on the seventh of November, 1879. She was united in marriage to the Rev. Jonas Jacob Priestley on the ninth day of September, 1900. To this union seven children were born. Mrs. Priestley was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for many years, transferring her membership to the Victoria Chapter when the family moved to Riceville. She was a member of the Congregational Church, and served with her ministerial husband in many ways to further his work in the ministry.
