Mrs. Gemmel was 64 years old last September and was a resident of Beadle county since the spring of 1883, when her husband, Andrew Gemmel established a general store in Cavour. Mr. Gemmel continued the store until his death in 1913 and a few later Mrs. Gemmel moved to Huron where she has since resided. She leaves a family of seven children, four sons and three daughters. Two of the sons, Arthur and Walter _____, at Poctello, Idaho. Howard, the youngest son, is in the service of the United States stationed at Fort Snelling, Minn., Athol V. Gemmel, the other son, is the proprietor of the East Side grocery in Huron. Mrs. Edith E. Wheatly lives in Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Blanche Bloodgood, south east of Huron; while Mrs. Gertrude Myers resides in this city. The sons are expected home for the funeral while Mrs. Wheatly was visiting her mother at the time of her death. Mrs. Gemmel suffered an attach of phenomena there weeks ago and was taken to a hospital where she apparently recovered, returning home last Monday evening. On Wednesday night her already _______ heart gave way.and she passed away peacefully in her sleep sometime during the night. Mrs. Gemmel was a member of the Royal Neighbors and also of the D_____ of Honor of Cavour. She was a woman who made many friends, and her demise is deeply mourned. (poor microfilm)
