Description	:	LENTFER, EMMA L.—Emma L. Lentfer, nee Eichstedt, was the oldest daughter of George and Helena Eichstedt. She was born near Carleton, Neb., December 15, 1879. She died at the Fairmont Nursing home February 29, 1960. She reached the age of 80 years, 2 months and 14 days. Emma was united in marriage to Henry Lentfer June 18, 1902. Read More	LENTFER, EMMA L.—Emma L. Lentfer, nee Eichstedt, was the oldest daughter of George and Helena Eichstedt. She was born near Carleton, Neb., December 15, 1879. She died at the Fairmont Nursing home February 29, 1960. She reached the age of 80 years, 2 months and 14 days. Emma was united in marriage to Henry Lentfer June 18, 1902. This union was blessed with two daughters and one son. The Lentfer's made their home north of Grafton until 1905. Then they moved to their own farm southeast of Grafton. They lived on this farm until they moved to Geneva. Mrs. Lentfer was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and she remained a member of Trinity Lutheran church in Grafton until her death. Mrs. Lentfer is survived by her husband, Henry, two daughters, Mrs. Alma Lauenstein of Geneva and Mrs. Lillie Miller of Anita, Ia., and her son Carl of Portland, Ore., a sister, Mrs. Elsie Kness, two brothers, George of Grafton and Herman of Venice, Cal., also by ten grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers. The funeral services were at the Kritner-Farmer funeral home in Geneva. Pastor A. W. Fuerstenau of Grafton officiated. He based his sermon on the Epistle to the Hebrews 13:8: “Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Trinity Lutheran choir of Grafton sang “Heaven is My Home” and “Asleep in Jesus.” The pallbearers were Raymond Eichstedt, Douglas Eichstedt, Charles Miller, Harold Lauenstein, Robert Lauenstein and Donald Lauenstein. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal March 17th, 1960 page 9.
