Husband Corridon Cram Minkler does seem to be the youngest brother of Mary A. Minkler, her mother's brother. The 1900 and 1910 censuses list her children as Josie M., Gladys M. (SD Birth Index has Mary Gladys, b. Aug. 16, 1889), Harold W. and Vernice L.. 1900 states three children, 3 living- which can't be correct, but 1910 has 6 born, 4 living. C. C. and Emma are enumerated in the 1885 Dakota Territorial census with a daughter, E. L. 1/2 year old, born in Dakota. I believe that should be 1/12 as she was born in May and the enumeration was completed June 1, 1885. Perhaps this is the second deceased child referred to in 1900, also buried in Millard cemetery with brother Claude. A child with those initials is not in the 1900 census, or later. So the 1898 date for Claude may refer to his sister's burial year. =============================== WOMAN'S SUFFRAGE CONVENTION Nothwithstanding the rain quite a number gathered at the M. E. Church last Saturday to attend the first Equal Suffrage Convention. During the day delegates from seven out of the nine suffrage clubs were in attendance. Mrs. Nelson opened the convention by devotional exercises, after which she gave some good practical suggestions to the clubs. The convention organized by electing W. F. Bailey, of Roanoke President of the county association; A. B. Wiles, Secretary and Mrs. Minkler of Millard, Treasurer. It was agreed to have an Equal Suffrage celebration the 4th of July, inviting the Farmers Alliance to co-operate in finding speakers and etc. and S. B. Robinson, of Seneca, and Mrs. Lena Stewart of Millard, were appointed committee to invite them to do so. Mrs. Nelson left on the afternoon train to Roscoe leaving a most favorable impression all over the county of herself and the work did. No one could do better and the men and women of Faulk County owe her and her state a lasting debt of gratitude for the kind faithful, ernest way in which she advanced their interests here, and pray for a blessing upon her wherever she goes most cordially commending her to the people of South Dakota who may be so fortunate as to have her come among them to advance this cause of Equal Suffrage. --Mrs. Alice Pickler WOMAN'S SUFFRAGE CLUBS.
