Description	:	EMMA LOU MILLER Lou passed away after a lengthy illness on Thurs-day, March 26, 2015. Lou was born on Novem-ber 24, 1931 to Myrle and Veeda Stephens in Custer City, Oklahoma. The family moved to Durham in the 1930's. In 1949 she married Harold B. Miller in the Adobe Church in Durham and graduated from Durham High School the following year. After graduating from beauty school in Oroville she worked as a beautician for many years. Lou also worked on the family almond orchard until 2011. She was best known in Durham for sharing her pies and baked goods. She... Read More	EMMA LOU MILLER Lou passed away after a lengthy illness on Thurs-day, March 26, 2015. Lou was born on Novem-ber 24, 1931 to Myrle and Veeda Stephens in Custer City, Oklahoma. The family moved to Durham in the 1930's. In 1949 she married Harold B. Miller in the Adobe Church in Durham and graduated from Durham High School the following year. After graduating from beauty school in Oroville she worked as a beautician for many years. Lou also worked on the family almond orchard until 2011. She was best known in Durham for sharing her pies and baked goods. She en-joyed traveling, camp-ing, and fishing with her family. Lou enjoyed donating her time at the Grange and dancing at the events at the Grange Hall. Her survivors include her son Ed (Elleen) Miller of Durham; three grand-children, Laura, Alexander and Benjamin (Katrina) Miller; one great grand-daughter, Sophia Miller; one brother, Carl Stephens and one sister, Ina LeaAnn Love. Donations may be made in her memory to the Durham Volunteer Fire Department in care of the Brusie Funeral Home.
