Emma KATTAU, nee KRAMER, was born Oct. 9, 1878, at Kramer, Nebr., and passed away at her home on Feb. 16, 1941, at the age of 62 years, 4 months and 7 days. She grew to womanhood in the same community where she was born and on Feb. 21, 1901, was united to William Henry KATTAU. They settled on a farm near Kramer where they continued to live until Mr. KATTAU passed away in April, 1937 They had two daughters, Mrs. Viola ARON and Miss Mildred. Since the death of Mr. KATTAU, Mrs. KATTAU and Mildred continued to live at the home place, southwest of Kramer. Mrs. KATTAU was highly respected by her friends and neighbors. She was a kind mother and will be greatly missed by her daughters. She leaves to mourn her passing, the two daughters and two grandaughters; three sisters, Mrs. Sophie FRANK of Winner, S.D., Mrs. Alvina HINTZ, Western, and Mrs. Lydia WRIGHT of Kramer. Her husband, parents, and one brother preceded her in death. She was a member of the Grace Methodist Church at Crete. Funeral services where held at 2 o'clock at Grace methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Leslie MOORE of Lincoln and Rev. Handel COLLIER. Song services were furnished by a mixed quartet composed of Clyde KNIGHT, Mrs. A. E. HOCKMAN, Robert S. GIBB and Miss Wilma DENNIS. Interment was in the Kramer cemetery. Pallbearers were Herman HINTZ of Western, Thomas WRIGHT, Alfred WOHL, Fred KATTAU of Kramer, Thomas J. ARON and Ed. J. ARON.
