KRAMER / Born Sept. 28, 1851 / Died Dec. 9, 1929" OBIT. in CRETE NEWS, Crete, Saline Co., NE on 12 Dec 1929 for Mrs. Johanna KRAMER (copy from NE Historical Soc., Lincoln, NE - micro film) "....Johanna Fredericka KRAMER was born at Amtideipols, Honover, Germany, Sept. 28, 1851, and died at her home near Crete, Dec 9, 1929. Age 78 yrs, 2 months and 11 days. When nineteen years of age she came with her parents from Germany to Iowa, in the year 1870. The year following they moved to Nebraska adjacent to what is now known as Kramer. Kramer being named after B. H. KRAMER, the father of her husband. She was united in marriage to John Henry KRAMER, May 20, 1875 at the home of her parents, the place has for the last thirty-eight years been her own home and where she ended her days. Five children came to bless their home, one son, Herman H. KRAMER, who preceded her in death, twenty-eight years ago, and four daughers who still survive. For nine years after their marriage, they shared the home of B. H. KRAMER. They then moved to Ord, Valley county, Nebraska. Four years later they took up their abode on their present farm and remained until death called them."....... .."She leaves to mourn her departure, her four daughters, Mrs. Frank FRANK, of Winner, S.D., Mrs. W.H. KATTAU, of Crete, Mrs. H.G. HINTZ of Western, and Miss Lydia KRAMER, aslo of Crete. One brother, Henry WEBER of Kramer, Mrs. L. G. LAUENSCHLAGER, twin sister of her husband. Nine grandchildren and a host of friends and neighbors. Funeral services were conducted from the Kramer Community Church by Rev. Richard GIBB, as pastor, and her remains were tenderly laid to rest by the side of her husband, in the presence of many friends."
