The final rites were held in the Zion Lutheran church with the Rev. A.C. Huth officiating. burial was in Greenwood cemetery, where she was laid to rest beside her husband, who preceded her in death. Six sons were pallbearers. The deceased was born April 27, 1863 in the city of Stettin in the province of Pommern in Germany. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. She was married to Ferdinand Brandenburg in Stettin on Feb. 2, 1884. Their wedding trip was a voyage to the United States. They located near West Point, Nebr., where they made their home for 20 years. In 1904 they, with their family, moved to Plainview, where they farmed for 16 years. In 1920 they retired and moved to Creighton. Mrs. Brandenburg died Sept. 11, 1921. Fourteen children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Brandenburg; two of whom preceded their mother in death--Anna, at the age of five weeks in West Point and Herman, at the age of 19 years at Columbus. Twelve children, 10 sons and two daughters, remain to mourn her death. They are Henry, who had been making his home with his mother the past seven years; Arthur, Conrad, Oscar and Mrs. Gerda Huntzinger, all of Flagler, Colo.; Walter of Bonners Ferry, Ida., Otto of Bassett, Charlotte Ducharm of Aurora, Colo.; Helmuth of Arcadia, Nebr.; Fritz of Sparks, Nebr.; Carl of Omaha.
