Mrs. Cason was 23 years of age and had resided in this city nearly all her life, where she was held in the highest regard by hosts of friends. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Cason, several brothers and sisters and her mother, Mrs. Eliza Bowers. The funeral services wil [sic] be conducted from the residence Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. John Hastie, pastor of the South Ottumwa Baptist church, assisted by Rev. W.H. Hormel, pastor of the East End Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment will be made in the Garrison Rock cemetery.
