Description	:	Emma Mae Collins was born in Yankton, S.D. on April 14, 1880, and spent her girlhood years in Vermillion. In 1895, she was married to Henry Carlson. They lived in Des Moines and Omaha for a number of years and then moved to the Albert city vicinity where thy lived til the time of Mr. Carlson's death. To this union was born 12 children: Julia, Arthur, Esther, Edwin, Ernest, Harold, Evelyn, Arvid, Rudolph, Viola, Irene and Everett. Read More	Emma Mae Collins was born in Yankton, S.D. on April 14, 1880, and spent her girlhood years in Vermillion. In 1895, she was married to Henry Carlson. They lived in Des Moines and Omaha for a number of years and then moved to the Albert city vicinity where thy lived til the time of Mr. Carlson's death. To this union was born 12 children: Julia, Arthur, Esther, Edwin, Ernest, Harold, Evelyn, Arvid, Rudolph, Viola, Irene and Everett. She was married to William Kaufman and resided in the Storm Lake area until his death. After her marriage to Fred Johnson, they lived near Odebolt for some 15 years. Since Mr. Johnson passed away in 1956, she had made her home in Storm Lake. She is survived by seven children, 3 sons and four daughters: Esther Corderman of Storm Lake; Ernest Carlson of New Braunfels, Texas; Evelyn Eisner of Storm Lake; Rudolph Carlson of Storm Lake, Viola Evans of Woodburn, Iowa, Irene Wright of Woodburn, Iowa, and Everett Carlson of Wrenchall, Minnesota. Also 24 grandchildren; 22 great-grandhicldren and one great great grandchild. She passed away at her home in Storm Lake Wednesday, April 1, at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 17 days. She was a member of the Church of Christ and attended as much as she was able. She lived a full life and was deeply devoted to her children and grandchildren who will miss her greatly. Services were held Friday, April 3, at two o'clock form the Church of Christ. Alvin Giese officiated. Burial was in the family plot at Albert City.
