Mrs. Vomacka had been afflicted by a heart ailment for several years but had been up and about her home most of the time until Saturday night when Mrs. Vomacka became seriously ill. Her daughter, Mrs. Edith Baysoy, of Washington, D. C. was summoned, and came by plane, arriving Sunday night. Mrs. Vomacka was born on a farm near Vining, April 20, 1876, the third daughter in the family of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mochal, early settlers in that community. She was married January 24, 1900, to Louis Vomacka, and the couple lived at Tama after their marriage. Besides the daughter, Mrs. Baysoy, they were parents of a son, George William, who died in October, 1952, at Oaklawn, Illinois. Mrs. Vomacka had lived with her sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Hrabak, Vining postmaster, during the last 25 years. Mrs. Hrabak, several months ago, bought the former Maude Seelye estate home on south Highway 63 in Traer, and on her retirement from the post office June 30, she and Mrs. Vomacka went to Traer. Mrs. Vomacka recently returned from a few week stay with her daughter-in-law near Chicago, IIIinois. Besides the two children, she leaves a granddaughter, Mrs. Arthur Heuerman, and three great-grandchildren, Bonita and Diane Pacini, and Arthur Heuerman, Jr., all of Chicago; a brother, Charles Mochal. near Vining; and four sisters, Mrs. F. E, Stanek of Chelsea; Mrs. Dalbey and Mrs. Hrabak of Traer and Mrs. Blanche Davis of Syracuse, New York. Preceding her in death were two brothers, Frank Mochal, of Farnhamville, and Joseph of Tama; and three sisters; Lottie, who died in infancy; Mrs. Anna Lundak of Elberon; and Mrs. Julia Ludvicek, who was taken last June 10 at Belle Plaine. Services were held at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon at the States Funeral Home in Traer, conducted by the Rev. Lowell Holmgren of Haven, who served as pastor of the Vining Congregational church which Mrs. Vomacka formerly attended. Mrs. Holmgren sang three hymns. Casket bearers were nephews of the decedent — Ben Stanek of Chelsea; Lawrence Mochal of Vining; George Mochal of Tama; L. J. Saver of Clutier; John Schroeder of Malcom and Dr. G. M. Dalbey of Traer. Burial was in the National cemetery near Vining.
