Description	:	Emma Nita Campbell, the oldest daughter of E.M. and Mollie Campbell was born November 24, 1892 near Piedmont, Kansas and died at her home in Eureka November 23, 1943. She came with her parents to Eureka at the age of ten years. Here she resided, attended school and grew to womanhood. Read More	Emma Nita Campbell, the oldest daughter of E.M. and Mollie Campbell was born November 24, 1892 near Piedmont, Kansas and died at her home in Eureka November 23, 1943. She came with her parents to Eureka at the age of ten years. Here she resided, attended school and grew to womanhood. Nita was a loyal and dutful daughter and ever ready to assist with the home cares. She will be sadly missed fron the family circle. On April 11, 1916 she was married to James Thomas Stapleford, proved a devoted wife and excellent homemaker. Early in life she became a member of the local Christian Church and when health would permit took her place along with the other members. She was a lover of flowers and little children. Her thoughful kindness as superintendent of the nursery department will live long in the lives of the children of that day. At Christmas time 1926, Mr. and Mrs. Stapleford adopted a baby boy, who has been the source of joy and inspiration for seventeen years. Bob is now a senior in high school. He will miss this good little woman who mothered him, but he can never forget how loving, industrious, kind and energetic she was. The closing days of her fifty-one years were days of intense suffering; with uncomplaining spirit and anticipated death as sweet release. Surviving her are the husband, son, father and mother; two sisters, Gladys Lewis of Eureka, and Irene Warner of Los Angeles. California; two brothers, Ernest of Los Angeles, California, and Harry of Wichita; also the boys and girls who were privileged to call her Aunt Nita, and friends, especially those to whom she was a good neighbor. The beautiful floral offerings bore mute testominy of love and esteem for the deceased. Funeral service was conducted Friday, November 26, at 2:30 p.m., by Rev. Bert V. Sutton of the Christiaan Church. Pallbearers were, W.J. Bilson, Ernest Cox, D.C. Pedroja, John Bane, Phillip Miller and Francis Vanhaverbake. Interment was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
