Deceased was nearly 79 years of age, being born December 1 1855, at Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 1891 he married Emma Roseman of Eau Claire County. Wis. They moved to North Dakota and engaged in farming. Six children were born to them (in ND) two dying in infancy. In 1904 the family followed the land rush to Alberta. Four more children were born here, one dying in childhood. In 1910 his wife passed away and two years later he married Miss Daisy Piggott, then recently of London, England. Three children were born of this union, one dying in infancy. On Oct 21 1918, his second son was killed in action in the Great War. His eldest son died May 13, 1926 and as most readers and friends recall his second wife died as recently as Aug 11th in the Calgary General Hospital. He leaves: Mrs Roy Lillies of Stonewall, Mich Mrs Roy Whitehead, High Prairie, Alta Mrs Stanley Robinson, Macleod James Copeland, Magrath Leo at home Doris at home Hubert at home and seven grandchildren Funeral service details omitted.
