Description	:	MRS. MONTGOMERY PASSES AWAY Mrs. Robert Montgomery who was operated on for appendicitis almost three weeks ago, died at the Hastings hospital Monday. She had been getting along fine and was soon to come home. On Monday new complications set in and she died very suddenly, the immediate trouble being an impaction of the bowels. Emona Pearl Ely was born at Elmwood, Nebr., February 21, 1885; died at Hastings July 23, 1917, aged 32 years, 5 months and 2 days. In the spring of 1892 she moved with her parents on a farm near Oak, where she grew up and was educated in the public schools. Later she went to Berlin, Wisc., where she finished her school work. While at that place she united with the First M.E. church (sic). On April 26, 1905, she was married to Robert D. Montgomery. To this union were born five children, three boys, Robert Ely, David Wright, Adison (sic) Arthur, and two girls, Grace and Madge. The latter died February 11, 1915, at the age of one year and ten months. She leaves husband, father, mother, six sisters, three brothers and a large circle of friends to moun (sic) he (sic) death. The funeal (sic) service was held at Oak this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W.M. Brooks of Clay Center. Interment was made at Nelson.
