The couple farmed near York Township until 1940 when they moved to Vining; Tama County, Iowa where they lived for 19 years. In 1959 they moved to Tama; Tama County, Iowa. Emma was also a member of the Saint Patrick's Catholic Church and the CCW. Emma R. (Kubalek) Hrstka, age: 98, passed away on Sunday; December 17, 2000 at the Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama, Iowa of natural causes. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her five daughters: Helen Herink (Ludwig) of Tama, Iowa, Mildred (Milo) Benda of Traer; Tama County, Iowa, Lucille Yilek of Belle Plaine; Benton County, Iowa, Eva (Kenneth) Kasal of Chelsea; Tama County, Iowa and Martha O''Connor of Tama, Iowa. Her three half sisters: Blanche Messinger of Tama, Iowa, Rose Musgraves of Jackson; Cape Girardeau County, Missouri and Mildred Schmidt of Titonka; Kossuth County, Iowa. Her twenty-three grandchildren, her forty-six great-grandchildren and Fifteen great-great-grandchildren. Preceding Emma in death were her husband: Edward in 1966, her two sons: Arthur and Paul, her grandson: K.C.; Her two great-granddaughters: Tara and Jennifer; her two son-in-law: Emil Yilek in 1999 and Robert O''Connor in 1991. May they rest in peace. May God bless her memory and give strength to those that mourn. Funeral services began at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday; December 19, 2000 with the Reverend Keith Birch officiating. Interment was at the Holy Trinity Cemetery in rural Toledo, Iowa.
