Mrs. Emma Cross Robinson succumbed at the home of Mrs. Emma Breckner on Saturday morning at 1 o'clock at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 18 days. Mrs. Robinson had been ill for the past month and her demise was attributed to intestinal trouble. Mrs. Emma Cross Robinson succumbed at the home of Mrs. Emma Breckner on Saturday morning at 1 o'clock at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 18 days. Mrs. Robinson had been ill for the past month and her demise was attributed to intestinal trouble. She was born at Monroe, Wis. on November 16, 1853 and spent the days of her youth in that city and in later years was united in wedlock to Joseph Cross. To this union eleven children were born. Four of them, Mary, Ben, Jess and Frank, being called in death. Those who survive are: Mrs. Edith Kyriss, Auburn, Nebr.; Mrs. Florence Curry, Indianapolis, Ind.; Mrs. Sarah Allen, Hazel Green, Wis., Mrs. Louise Harrison, Kearney, Nebr.; Will Cross, Craig, Mo.; Roy Cross, Wausa, Nebr.; Ed Cross of Montana and one sister, Mrs. Louise Laird, who is in the Wisconsin Veterans Home at Waupacee, Wis. Shortly after her first marriage, she with her husband, moved to Plainview. Later they came to Creighton and resided on a farm north of town. They, then, moved to town and her husband passed away in January 1912. Mrs. Robinson was married the second time to Leonard Robinson in January 1916. That same year in July the union was broken, when death claimed her husband. Two years ago she again settled in Creighton and during that time has made her home with Mrs. Emma Breckner. Mrs. Robinson was a member of the Methodist church and attended services whenever her health would permit. The last rites for the departed woman were held on Sunday afternoon from the Methodist church conducted by the pastor, Rev. R.B.E. Hill. A number of her acquaintances and friends congregated to pay their last respects. The body was taken to its last resting place in Greenwood cemetery.
