Description	:	Emma Kroeger, daughter of Fred and Mary Plager Lunzman, was born May 20, 1893, at Byron, Nebraska, and died at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson on August 5, 1975, at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 14 days. As an infant she was received by baptism at the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Byron, Nebraska. She was confirmed in April 1907 at Johnson, Nebraska. Read More	Emma Kroeger, daughter of Fred and Mary Plager Lunzman, was born May 20, 1893, at Byron, Nebraska, and died at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson on August 5, 1975, at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 14 days. As an infant she was received by baptism at the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Byron, Nebraska. She was confirmed in April 1907 at Johnson, Nebraska. As a young woman she attended German School, Rural Nebraska. October 15, 1913, she was united in marriage to Charlie DeMilt at Nelson, Nebraska. She helped her husband in the creamery at Nelson. To this union one daughter, Margarie (sic) Fern, was born. Mr. DeMilt passed away November 10, 1959. She was united in marriage to Henry Kroeger at his home at Republic City, Kansas, on October 6, 1960. Mr. Kroeger passed away October 2, 1965. Emma lived in Nelson until 1970 when she entered the hospital at Hebron with a broken hip. She resided awhile at the Blue Valley Home, Hebron and was a resident of the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson for the past three years. At the time of her death she was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, rural Superior, Nebraska. Preceding her in death were her parents; both of her husbands; her daughter, Margarie Fern Kassebaum, who died July 17, 1945. She leaves to mourn her passing one sister, Irene Heller, Washaugal, Washington; one grandson, Eldon Kassebaum; one granddaughter, Mrs. Clifford Hristian (sic) (Wilma); four great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 1975 at the Salem Lutheran Church, rural Superior, Nebraska, with Pastor Ray Ensign officiating. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery. Arrangements were by Klawitter Funeral Home, Nelson. Casketbearers were Jim Bargen, Ralph Meyer, Floyd Meyer, Gordon Meyer, Harlan Meyer and Glenn Oltmans. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, August 21, 1975; pg. 6 =========================== Funeral services for Emma Kroeger, 82, will be Friday, August 8, at 10:30 a.m. in the Salem Lutheran Church. Rev. Ray Ensign will officiate. Burial will be in the Nelson Cemetery. Arrangements by Klawitter Funeral Home in Nelson. Emma, a long time resident of Nelson, died August 4, 1975, at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson. She is survived by a sister, Irene Hiller of Washwashougal, Washington; a granddaughter, Mrs. Clifford Christian of Hebron; a grandson, Eldon Kassebaum of Hebron and 4 great grandchildren.
