Wheatley, minister of the First Presbyterian church, officiated at the committal rites in the Carroll cemetery, where Mrs. Forbes was buried beside her husband. Pallbearers were: John T. Anderson, D.W. Hanssen, Robert A. Wright, W.H. Scharnweber, Louis M. Guam and G. Edwin Robb. Mrs. Forbes died at Doctors hospital, Omaha, Monday afternoon, two weeks after she suffered a broken hip. She was Emma Woodring of Carroll before her marriage. Members of her immediate family here at the rites were: Lynn Forbes and son and Newell Forbes, Omaha, and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Forbes and two daughters, Des Moines. Mrs. Jud Forbes of Walnut, a daughter-in-law, was accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Jud Walden Forbes and daughter, Judy, and Mrs. Orris Huber of Goshen, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Freeman and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Reimer and two children of Atlantic. Other relatives from away included Mr. and Mrs. George Dietrich and daughter and Robert Dietrich of Cedar Rapids.
